There are prizes for the best in each age/sex category, as well for the best poker hand. The grand prize for the best poker hand this year will be a certificate valued at $1,000 for a new bike and accessory package donated by Blue Cat Cycles.

Testicular cancer survivors Jeff and Steve Wood have pledged to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation as a member of the LIVESTRONG Challenge series, a program where cyclists, cancer survivors and other volunteers raise funds and awareness for the Foundation in their local communities.

Amateur Cyclists Jeff and Steve Wood frequently ride many of the back roads in Southern Jefferson County, and were inspired by Lance Armstrongs message and courage battling testicular cancer. While battling cancer the brothers noted that there are many support and awareness groups for Breast and Prostate cancer, but none for other less common cancers like Testicular Cancer. The NCAC and the LAF are both excellent ways to get the word out, as well as raise funds for cancer research, support and advocacy.

Funds raised through the LIVESTRONG Ride Series will enable the LAF to continue helping people in the host cities and across the nation with the physical, emotional and practical challenges of cancer. Since its inception in 1997, the LAF has invested nearly $6.3 million in research and community programs in California, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Oregon and Texas.
